#18 - Greek Fir (Abies cephalonica)

Native to the mountains of Greece, this broadly pyramidal conifer is rare in this country. It grows well in our region, and can reach from 50 to 100 feet tall. Haverford College's specimen deviates from the typical form because it was topped long ago due to its location next to the Observatory.
