#7 - Bur Oak (Quercus macrocarpa)

A majestic presence at the corner of Magill Library, this Bur Oak appears on William Carvill's original campus plan of 1834. Bur oaks are easily identified by their "woolly" capped acorns and broad, round-lobed leaves.
