Haverford is consistently considered among the top academic institutions in the country.

Our rigorous academic program focuses on individual growth, intellectual exploration, and pushing the boundaries of each discipline. Most classes are taught seminar style with an emphasis on discussion and debate.

Assistant Professor of Biology Jonathan Wilson shows senior biology majors how to measure rates of photosynthesis using the new infrared gas analyzer.

Students have access to a tremendous intellectual community.

As a Haverford student, you are free to take classes at Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore Colleges, and the University of Pennsylvania offers a 4 + 1 engineering program that grants a B.S. from Haverford and a masters from Penn in just 5 years

Our exams are unproctored – we trust our students to adhere to the Honor Code.

The Honor Code – a philosophy of trust, concern, and respect – guides our entire campus community. Other reflections of the Honor Code include the absence of RAs in dorms, 24-hour lab access, and the lack of an admission enrollment deposit.

The Haverford faculty is composed of more than 135 scholars at the top of their fields.

Haverford's student-faculty ratio is 8:1 and the absence of teaching assistants and graduate students means the focus of the education is squarely on you.

We strive to make Haverford's education accessible regardless of a family's ability to pay.

Haverford has a need-blind admission policy and a no-loan financial aid policy that replaces loans with college grants. We are committed to minimizing the burden felt by our students and their families.
