Students have access to a tremendous intellectual community.

As a Haverford student, you are free to take classes at Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore Colleges, and the University of Pennsylvania offers a Accelerated Masters Program in engineering; study for four years at Haverford, then two or three semesters at Penn, and receive a Bachelor of Science from Haverford and a Master’s in Engineering from Penn.

Our Academic Centers take you beyond the traditional classroom.

Whether your research takes place on campus or across the globe, the Centers provide funding and support for those who want to design their own high-level scholarship and engage directly with what they are studying.

Thanks to a partnership between the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship and the Koshland Integrated Natural Sciences Center, students from Jonathan Wilson’s “Economic Botany” class spent spring break in Trinidad and Tobago on an experiential-learning study tour.

Students have a strong voice in the College's operations.

In addition to independently governing the Honor Code, students serve on hiring committees, manage budgets, and run more than 150 clubs and organizations. They are colleagues in stewarding the institution and experience an unparalleled degree of freedom and responsibility. Reflections of the trust we have in our students include unproctored exams, the absence of RAs in dorms, 24-hour lab access, and the lack of an admission enrollment deposit.
