High School: Friends Seminary
Major: Political Science
Minor: Music
Activities: Men’s Club Volleyball, Honor Council Co-Chair, Chamber Singers, Chorale, Humtones (a cappella), Customs Committee, Tour Guide
Favorite Extra Curricular Activity: “My favorite extra curricular activity at the moment is Honor Council. I was elected as representative at the beginning of last spring and then at the end of the year was elected as Co-Chair. I’d say that just understanding the inner workings of the Honor Code has been very influential in my view of Haverford. The respect between the faculty, administration, and the students is very impressive. Being on Honor Council has reinforced my enthusiasm and respect for the Code and the community.”
How the Haverford experience is unique: “The community feeling is completely unique. Even amongst other small liberal arts colleges, you will not get the same wonderful inclusion and encouragement. I walk around campus and see people I know all the time, and in fact it is more remarkable when I see people I don’t know. Also, the Honor Code provides such a wonderful environment for respect between students and professors, which is essential for a successful working environment.”
Post-graduate Plans: “I have often dreamed of two, very different paths – that of the elected politician and that of the opera singer.”
