Email Interruption, June 11th at 11:30 PMThe message below was originally sent to all Haverford community members on Tuesday, June 10th at approximately 4:30 PM. To: All Haverford Community Members From Wednesday, June 11th, at 11:30 PM to approximately 1:30 AM on June 12th, college email service will be interrupted while emergency system maintenance is performed on the college email servers. During this interruption users will not be able to retrieve messages from the server (Check Mail) using Eudora or other POP email clients. Web based email access (Emumail and Squirrelmail) will be unavailable as well. Mail received during this period will be queued and delivered when mail service is restored. This emergency maintenance has been scheduled on short notice in order to replace a redundant boot disk in the college POP email server, which reported a failure on Tuesday morning. To minimize the risk of further system failure, a quick replacement seems most prudent during thunderstorm and brown-out season. If you have questions about this interruption, or concerns about the schedule please don't hesitate to contact your computing support liaisons: Telephone: 610-896-1480Email: helpdesk@haverford.edu Administrative staff please contact Administrative Computing: Telephone: 610-896-1355 Email: admincc@haverford.edu |
