Campus-wide Power Failure: Founders Network InterruptionOn Thursday December 13th at Approximately 4 AM, Haverford experienced a campus-wide power failure that resulted in network service being interrupted in several campus buildings. Around 4 AM, Woodside Cottage, Parker House, 710, and James building experienced interruptions lasting less than 10 minutes. Founders, however, had a longer outage as a result of equipment failure. From 4 AM until shortly after 9 AM, Founders lost network service when a back-up power source serving the networking equipment in that building failed. During the interruption, users were unable to access networked services like email, Storage, Webpublish, and the Internet. Once the equipment failure was corrected around 9 AM, full networking service was restored in Founders.
