Set Adobe Acrobat to Open PDFs in New Window
|
Some computers may have difficulty opening PDFs with Internet Explorer after installing Windows XP SP2. When a link to a PDF is clicked a small box with a red x may appear in Internet Explorer instead of the PDF.
Until Microsoft is able to create a patch for this problem, follow the instructions below to configure Adobe Acrobat to open the PDF in a separate window. 1. Open Adobe Acrobat. 2. Click Edit -> Preferences. 3. In the preferences window select Internet on the left side and uncheck Display PDF in browser.
4. Click OK. ACC will provide additional instructions to deselect this option when a patch becomes available. |
