VPN Support Policies

In addition to the Acceptable Use Policy that governs all use of the Haverford College network, the following policies pertain to users of the Haverford VPN service.
  • VPN is primarily intended to provide faculty, staff, and students access to restricted library resources, internal web sites and local email for college-related work, as well as provide access to the campus network through a wireless computer. Contact your computer liaison or the Help Desk for more information.
  • Please remember that your off-campus Haverford VPN account is for your personal use only. Your children and other family members or friends should not be given access to your account.
  • Because off-campus use of VPN software is complicated by a number of factors, including the nature of your network configuration, the type of service provided to you by your broadband service provider, and personal software packages you may have installed, we cannot guarantee that your computer will work with VPN. We will, however, make a reasonable effort to help you use VPN software. In many cases, we may need you to bring your computer to our office to best assist you. Please make sure you have adequate backups of all important data before bringing in your computer.
