Courses: American Political Development (POLSH222B01)
Analysis of the sources and development of political culture and institutions in the United States. Explores the changing relationship between ideas, institutions, policy, and citizenship in the American political system, as well as possible alternative paths of development. Topics include American âexceptionalismâ, religion and war, social movements and citizen identity, and trends of de-politicization and disengagement.
Prerequisites: One previous course in Political Science or consent of the instructor.
