Examines the possibilities and limits of forgiveness, apology, mourning, and mercy in human relationships, political and personal, to subject our ideas and presuppositions about what justice and forgiveness are, and what they can and cannot do, to a critical reappraisal.
Prerequisites: One 100-level philosophy course or PEAC 101 or PEAC 201, or consent.
