Courses: Data Science and Visualization (CMSCH207B01)
An introduction to techniques for the automated and human-assisted analysis of data sets. These "big data" techniques are applied to data sets from multiple disciplines and include cluster, network, and other analytical methods paired with appropriate visualizations. Lottery Preference: CMSC Majors, Minors, Sci Computing Concentrators. Then Frosh, Sophs, anyone else.
Prerequisites: CS 105 and CS 106 one of: CS 231, Math 215 or Math 218 (all with a 2.0 or better) or permission of the instructor
