Courses: Political Theology (POLSH371A01)

An advanced research seminar focusing on the ways that political and theological power are connected and how this connection informs conflicts between religion and politics on the global stage. Includes study of the implicit theological commitments underlying contemporary "secular" liberal democracies. The seminar also explores the theme of "political theology" to interrogate economic ideology and the ongoing global financial crisis.
Prerequisites: Junior or Senior standing or the instructor's consent.
