Courses: Order and Institutions in American Politics (POLSH311A01)

Fall 2013

This research seminar will explore the nature and role of institutions in creating the appearance of order and coherence, as well as providing sites of change and social transformation in American politics. Throughout the course, we will use the framework of institutional theory to examine recurring issues in American politics, including stability and war, race and economic inequality, and issues of representation and political accountability.
