Courses: Topics in Latin Literature-Ovid's Fasti (LATNB350001)

Fall 2013

Class Number: 2053
This is a topics course. Course content varies.
Div: III; Haverford: Humanities (HU)
Current Topic Description: Ovid's Fasti is a work that the poet was
not able to complete before being sent into exile by Augustus.
Nevertheless, as it survives, it is an extraordinarily rich work that
blends the antiquarian religious research characteristic of the
Augustan age with the subtle poetic craft for which the author is famous.
