BIOL B110 is an introductory-level courses designed to encourage students to explore the field of biology at multiple levels of organization: molecular, cellular, organismal and ecological. Each course will explore these areas of biology through a unifying theme. Lecture three hours, laboratory three hours a week. This is a topics course, course topic varies.; Current topic description: Biology B110-001 will explore areas of biology through a unifying theme. It will center on the reading of "The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer" by Siddhartha Mukherjee and will examine the biology of Cancer from perspectives of biochemistry, cell biology, genetics and genomics and physiology.
