Current topic description: This course explores the politics and
genealogies on nationalist movements in the Indian subcontinent from
the late 19th century through the establishment of sovereign nations
from 1947-72, considering the implications and legacies of empire,
nationalism and anti-colonialism for the nations and peoples of the
subcontinent from Independence through the present.
