This course is an introduction to the study of Asian American communities that provides comparative analysis of major social issues confronting Asian Americans. Encompassing the varied experiences of Asian Americans and Asians in the Americas, the course examines a broad range of topicscommunity, migration, race and ethnicity, and identitiesas well as what it means to be Asian American and what that teaches us about American society.
