French 001 Intensive Elementary is the first half of a two-semester beginning sequence designed to help students attain a level of proficiency to function comfortably in a French-speaking environment.It is both speaking (through pair work, group work and drills) and writing intensive (through blogs and essays). In drills sessions, students develop the ability to speak and understand better through songs, skits, debates, and a variety of activities. The course meets nine hours per week.
