Courses: Medical Virology: HIV Pathogenesis (BIOLH364G01)

This course will introduce students to basic principles of host-pathogen interactions, using Human Immunodeficiency Virus as a model system to better understand the mechanisms of viral pathogenesis in infected humans. The focus of the course will be on illustrating specific elements that relate to disease development, including viral entry, tropism, interactions with the host immune system, and drug resistance using the primary literature as a guide. Enrollment limited to 15 students.
Prerequisites: Biology 300 or consent.
