Courses: Neuroscience of Mental Illness (PSYCH370B01)
Spring 2011
Examines neuroscientific approaches to psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, and schizophrenia. This seminar will draw upon primary scientific research literature investigating neurophysiological and cognitive neuroscience correlates of psychopathology. Both promises and limitations of current knowledge will be evaluated. Lottery preference to Senior Biol/Psyc majors and then NBS Concentrators. Lottery will be split evenly--10/10--between the two majors.
Prerequisites: One 200-level course in biological psychology, such as HC Psyc 217, 250, or 260, or BMC Psyc 218
