Courses: Plato (PHILH210A01)
A close reading of Platoâs Meno, Phaedo, Republic, Symposium, and Theaetetus, with a focus on issues in philosophical psychology, metaphysics, and the theory of knowledge. Emphasis is on a philosophical understanding of the views and arguments suggested by the texts, and special attention is paid to the roles of literary aspects of the texts in the presentation of philosophical content.
Prerequisites: One 100 level course or its equivalent, or consent.
