An interdisciplinary examination of linguistic theory, language evolution, and the psychological processes involved in using language. Topics include speech perception and production, processes of comprehension, language and the brain, language learning, language and thought, linguistic diversity, and conversational interaction.
Prerequisites: Psychology 100 or consent of instructor.
