This course will examine the history of Bryn Mawr College within the
contexts of the history of women's higher education and the history of
the US in the 19th century. The course will explore the cultural,
social, and political conditions that influenced the founding of the
college, while examining how trends in the professionalization of
academia affected the college's structure and curriculum. Enrollment
Limit: 18; Enrollment Limit Criteria: Priority to Kaliedoscope
participants, then Random;
