A study of the development of Humanism, the concept of the Renaissance, and the Reformation. The course focuses on representative works, with special attention given to the prose of Rabelais and Montaigne, the Conteurs, the poetry of Marot, Sc�ve, the Pl�iade, and d'Aubign�.
