This course explores the "long Sixties" and its role in defining modern American History. While students will investigate the vital themes of race relations, gender and sexuality, the New Left, and the Vietnam War, they will also explore the conservative politics of the 1960s, environmental movements, and the 1960s in music, art, and film.
