The first social revolution of the 20th C took place in Mexico, and brought with it unprecedented popular mobilization & a political & social effervescence that lasted into the 1930's. This course will introduce students to the different ways that historians have sought to understand the formation of the post-revolutionary regime from the 1920's to the 1950's.
