Fall 2008
How money, the banking system and financial markets interact and affect the macroeconomy. We will study asset markets and asset returns, the determination of equilibrium rates of return and interest rates, and the risk-return trade off in asset markets and its influence on portfolio allocation. We will also cover how monetary policy is implemented through the Federal Reserve System.
Prerequisites: ECON 102 and/or 302
