Consideration of the major policy areas, global and regional, at issue in the contemporary foreign policy of USA. An analytic seminar with opportunities for student presentations and research. Topics include: post-9/11 war on terrorism, Iraq and Afghanistan, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Africas continuing crises, other major regional issues. Association with the Great Decisions program of the Foreign Policy Association. Field trip, guest experts.
