An introduction to the development of holy war in Medieval
Christianity and Islam, with attention given to the Crusades of the
Latins while providing the context of the world in which Christianity
and Islam developed. Studies Christian and Muslim views of the
relationship between religion and society in popular practices such as
religious pilgrimage and Islamic expansion. Enrollment limited to 15
