to Cities majors. Cross listed with CITY B335. **Additional
Screening hours TBA ** Studies the relationships between modern
cities and the transformations of the media that describe, critique,
view and conceal urban life through perspectives from ethnography,
cultural studies, political economics and communication. Readings and
discussions draw on theory and case studies from Hong Kong, Mexico,
Philadelphia and others; screening times will be scheduled. Projects
will balance textual analysis with explorations of social practice. A
praxis component may also be available.
