New Course: Much the one thousand year history of the Byzantine
Empire history was shaped by a series of encounters with Islamic
empires, Latin Christendom, and the Slavic peoples. This course
focuses on the social, cultural, and religious history of the
Byzantine Empire with particular attention given to Byzantiums
interaction with its neighbors.
