  • Blackboard is again allowing users to add content to the system.

    Apparently, a problem developed during last night's system maintenance and Blackboard was unable to accept new content earlier this morning. Around 10:55 AM System Administrators at Swarthmore located the cause and resolved the issue. Please contact the Computing Help Desk if you continue to notice problems. (Thursday, April 23) 
  • Blackboard will be out of service Thursday, April 23rd, from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM.  During this outage, System Administrators at Swarthmore will perform needed hardware maintenance. 
  • Blackboard Status (3/5/09 2:30 PM)
    Blackboard had two unplanned outages this week. The first was on Tuesday, March 2 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The system failed again around 11:30 PM Wednesday, March 4 and was out of service until 7:30 AM Thursday, March 5.

    After a hardware repair, the system should now be stable. However, additional maintainance is planned for Wednesday, March 11 from 4:00 AM until 8:00 AM.
  • COMPUTING UPDATE: MS Office Compatibility improves for Macintosh users. However, action is still needed to assure maximum compatibility between Office versions. (July 15, 2008)
  • IMAP Available, but NOT supported: College Information Resources is expanding its internal testing of the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP).  (July 8, 2008)
  • Email Slowness Starting at 5 PM on Friday 4/11

  • Recommended Changes for Eudora and Other POP Email Clients
    Enable your email client to use a secure connection when you collect your email. Enable SSL on your POP Email Client (April 10, 2008)
  • Spring Blackboard Service Interruption
    The Blackboard system will be unavailable on MARCH 12, 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM. During this time security updates will be applied. These security updates will not change the look or feel of Blackboard.
