Haverford's 13th President, inaugurated October 6, 2007.
Steve Emerson, M.D, Ph.D, is a member of Haverford's class of 1974. He returned to the College after a celebrated career as a physician and stem cell biologist, publishing well over 100 research papers and securing nearly a dozen patents. Outside the lab, he plays on a championship Bridge team. Always eager to take on new challenges, Steve was a founding member of the College's first men's lacrosse team ("The first game we played was the first game we'd seen") and is bringing energy and enthusiasm to his new role.
