This course explores the challenge of truth-telling in documentary film and video. What practices have documentarians engaged in to acknowledge, deny, undermine, complicate, and perhaps solve the problem of truth? Readings, film viewings with discussions, and exercises in video production and editing, leading to the creation of final videos by students.
