Like any thriving culture or community, the liberal arts college depends upon a continuous process of renewal by which knowledge, instruction, and the principles of intellectual exchange are transmitted. The Humanities Center recognizes that Haverford Alums are a resource as models of lifelong learners and contributors through their vocational fulfillment. The Hurford Humanities Center works to link today’s students with the many alums whose expertise and guidance can provide young Haverford humanists valuable challenges unavailable in the classroom, offering a taste of possibilities awaiting them upon graduation. Alumni interested in residencies at Haverford, speaking about humanities related work, making connections for the Summer Humanities Internship program, particularly outside the Philadelphia area, or being included in the Young Academic Humanist Speaker series, are invited to contact the Humanities Center.
