Meet the Staff

Yani Chu-Richardson

Yani Chu-Richardson is a Haverford Sophomore from Farmington, Connecticut. She has a passion for Psychology, and though she is sad that she has to walk up four flights of stairs to go to those classes, Yani plans to major in the field. Since enjoying her education cannot currently involve taking art classes, she is excited to get her weekly dose of art through her work in the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery. Yani loves Haverford, homemade Chinese food, art, walks on the beach, and feels awkward writing in the third person.

Carmen Delehanty

Carmen Delehanty is from Northern Virginia and is currently a sophmore at Haverford College. She has enjoyed studying drawing and painting since elementary school and has been involved in art projects such as serving as the Editor-in-Chief of her high school literary magazine. Now pursuing an Anthropology major yet avidly interested in art, Carmen is excited to join the Cantor-Fitzgerald Gallery staff.

Milap Dixit

Milap Dixit is a Haverford sophomore from Kathmandu, Nepal. He may major in philosophy. He looks forward to exploring Philadelphia as a publicity coordinator for the Humanities Center and Exhibitions Program.

Meredith Edwards

Meredith Edwards is a sophomore at Haverford College with little clue as to what she wishes to major in. She enjoys writing with gel ink pens, eating warm chocolate chip cookies, and watching Arrested Development, but sure can't get enough of Organic Chemistry! She is from South Carolina, home of Mark Sanford, the first governor to fall in love with Argentina, and Stephen Colbert, the first Libertarian anyone ever noticed running for president. She is thrilled to be working for the gallery and can't wait to buy a new toothbrush with her first paycheck.

Kelly Ka Wai Lam

Kelly Ka Wai Lam is a Haverford sophomore who comes from everywhere (read: strange accent acquired). Growing up between cultures has given her a profound love of languages and arts. Currently, she is proud of the slight tan and a deeper appreciation of espresso gained from a summer spent living *la dolce vita*. Her super-secret methods of relieving homesickness include flying home, obsessively listening to cheesy Asian music, mumbling to herself, and eating. When these are done she enjoys playing music, art shows and writing.

Hazel Scott

Hazel Scott is a senior Linguistics major and Math minor from Washington state. In addition to languages and numbers, Hazel greatly enjoys colors and shapes and attaching things to walls. This is her third year at the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery and first as Staff Manager. She looks forward to an exciting year at the gallery.

Charles Watanasutisas

Charles Watanasutisas is an English major and Math minor with a special interest in Postmodern and immigrant literatures. Always seeking to gain new ways of understanding art, Charles hopes that working hands-on with exhibits will yield new and interesting perspectives. He is currently considering careers in journalism, astronomy, and clinical psychology. Charles hails from beautiful Chino Hills, California, where cows outnumber Democrats, and where it smells accordingly.

Darren White

Darren White is a Haverford sophomore who is currently studying Fine Arts with a concentration on photography at Haverford and Art History at Bryn Mawr. Born and raised in the Philadelphia/Main-Line area, Darren has watched the development of the Philadelphia art and fashion scene for some time which has directly influenced the bi-weekly fashion, arts, and culture column he writes for the Bi-Co News called "The Fashion File". In addition to his academic pursuits in the arts, he participates in The Looney Tunes, a bi-co co-ed acappella group.

Janet Yoon

Janet Yoon is a Haverford senior and a proud New Jerseyan. A History of Art major at Bryn Mawr and a French minor, Janet spent last spring studying abroad in Paris where she spent most of her time in museums, galleries, art fairs, and at the local bakery. Entering into her fourth year at Cantor Fitzgerald, she has witnessed the many improvements made to the gallery during her college career, and anticipates even greater things. For the last curated exhibit in Spring 2010, Janet will be co-curating a show with Professor Carol Solomon entitled "Mapping Identity", an exciting exhibition bringing artists from around the world, whose works deal with issues of identity and the effects of displacement, hybridity and cosmopolitanism.
