The Center is looking for sharp, organized students with keen editorial eyes and a general interest in the arts & humanities. Conversely, we’re also looking for sharp, organized students with keen editorial eyes who don’t quite know what the arts & humanities are (but would like to learn). Office Assistants will often be asked to post flyers around campus (and at Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore), so a readiness to travel between the schools is a must. We’d also like to hire a student with Final Cut Pro experience—the ability to add lower thirds, use transitions, capture/batch export, and correct sound levels (NB: this would be an added bonus for us—you DO NOT need a video editing background to apply!). Skilled photographers are also much in demand! Past office/editorial/advertising experience and/or familiarity with Photoshop/Illustrator are desirable but not necessary. Artists, scientists, poets, trackstars, secret Math geniuses, not-so-secret Math geniuses, Model UN dropouts, ambient electronic muzak-makers, MVPs, VIPs, youtube hooligans, blogger oddities, calligraphers, interpretive dancers, and anyone else with a pulse are strongly encouraged to apply.
Hours Required: Start Date: Monday, September 19, 2011 Flexible—let us know how hours many you’d like, (again, flexible) and we’ll see if we can accommodate. Scheduled student work hours take place between 10am and 5pm, with additional hours as required by special events. There are also potential Stokes Gallery hours on weekends.
Applications can be found here, and are due via email to email@example.com with "[your last name] Student Office Assistant" in the subject line by 5pm on Friday, September 9th, 2011.
