programs > student research fund

The CPGC will fund student research locally, domestically, or internationally that occurs over any of the four breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer), or that occurs throughout the semester or year. While we prefer to fund research which is related to your Senior Thesis, if you have a strong need to pursue research which is related to another stream of your studies, you are welcome to present your ideas in a meeting with the relevant Program Coordinator.

Students who have received funding in the past have noted that the experience greatly enhanced their understandings of the issues they were investigating and enriched their thesis work significantly. Please note that we encourage longer research stays or more on-going research, versus shorter stays or one-time visits due to the fact that decisions are made on a relative cost-benefit analysis.

Past Projects: Please browse through the past projects which have been supported through this fund.

Planning Tips: Check out our tips to help you prepare both your research project and proposal.
