The CPGC supports Haverford faculty members in their efforts to integrate experiential and service learning into their teaching and mentoring. This might take the form of travel in conjunction with courses or the development of new courses with experiential learning components.
Professor Barbara Hall took her class, American Dreams: Ethnographic Perspectives on the United States, to Center City Philadelphia to visit 3 locations that are described in detail in a book we read together, Elijah Anderson’s "The Cosmopolitan Canopy: Race and Civility in American Life."
