CPGC Café

The Café serves as a meeting place for students, faculty and staff to discuss local and global concerns while enjoying freshly brewed organic fair trade coffee, a variety of herbal teas, and specialty confections baked by our very own student bakers. The Café also has a full range of audiovisual equipment and a lending library. During evening hours the Café is frequently reserved by students, faculty or staff for special events.

Hours:

  • Monday through Friday - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. - self serve coffee, tea, and prepackaged snacks (all year)
  • Monday through Friday - 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. - full service specialty hot and cold beverages prepared upon request, fresh baked goods offered on a daily basis (during the academic year)
  • Reservations: The Café can be reserved Monday through Friday after 5:30pm and at any time during the weekend.

To Reserve the Café: During the academic year, contact Marlen Lofaro, Café Coordinator, mlofaro@haverford.edu – 610-896-1254. At all other times, contact Donna Ruane, Administrative Assistant, druane@haverford.edu – 610-896-1205.

The CPGC Café is a "green" space. The CPGC has successfully participated in the Committee on Environmental Responsibility Green Office Program and has earned a “Green Squirrel.” When you reserve the Café for an event it is required that you use only recyclable, compostable or biodegradable products. These products are available in the dining center by request.

Employment Opportunities: Café server and baker positions become available on a routine basis. Employment applications are available in the CPGC main office located in Stokes 107. Applications are kept on file and reviewed when positions become available.
