#30 - Autumn Higan Cherry (Prunus subhirtella ‘Autumnalis’)
The tiny pinkish-white flowers of this cherry cultivar appear in fall as well as spring, though not as abundantly. Higan Cherry is one of the longest-lived flowering cherries, reaching 20 to 40 feet tall and half as wide. It can tolerate the clay soil and heat of our region.
