#28 - Oriental Spruce (Picea orientalis)

Oriental SpruceSpruces grow in the cooler regions of the Northern Hemisphere and can be identified by their dense, symmetrical form, pendulous branches and cones, and the woody peg at the base of each needle. The Oriental Spruce has very short (½ inch) dark green needles and is native to the Caucasus and Asia Minor regions.
