#25 - Scarlet Oak (Quercus coccinea)
Growing to 80 feet or more, the Scarlet Oak has an open, rounded head and bears deeply cut, bristle-tipped leaves that closely resemble those of the Red Oak. While this native tree is noted for its vibrant fall foliage, our mature specimen has a genetic propensity for brown leaves in autumn.
