#13 - Kousa Dogwood (Cornus kousa)
The Kousa Dogwood has gained popularity in recent years. In addition to being disease-free, this native of Japan and Korea blooms a month after our native Flowering Dogwood, Cornus florida, and bears raspberry-like fruits. Both trees grow approximately the same size: 20 to 30 feet in height with an equal spread.
