#5 - Baldcypress (Taxodium distichum)
This native tree is another deciduous conifer that sheds its needles each fall after they turn from green to bronze. The tall, narrow Baldcypress grows well in wet locations where it can develop strange protuberances or “knees” around its base. The round cones are about 1-inch in diameter.
